The Image

September 22nd, 2016. Iceland. The first landscape photo from the tens of thousands I captured in my career. From the top of Hjörleifshöfði, the black glacial volcanic outwash can be seen in the distance below. Beneath the rainbow a lone hiker makes their way up the trail to the peak, highlighting the incredible scale of the Icelandic landscape. "First Exposure" was taken with a Canon GX1 Mark II, the first camera I used in my landscape photography journey.
